Job Description
- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, work orders to determine optimal tooling and machine processes.
- Knowledge of various 3+ axis mill machines and controls program/edit existing programs.
- Develop CNC programs to work with setup and fixtures for monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and final outcome.
- Maintain library of programs and configuration.
- Provide required documents for machine set-up (set-up sheet, visual drawings).
- Reads, understands, and creates specification sheets blue prints, work instructions, and routings.
- Writes CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Maintain awareness of new ideas in processes, tools, methods, and apply them effectively to NC manufacturing.
- Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
- Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
- Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
- Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
